Singletrack with lots of switchbacks. Some nice smooth areas in old fire breaks and some rooty sections. Network of trails that is pretty well marked.
From highway 17 in Pollocksville turn onto Beaufort Road. It will turn into Island Creek Road. A few miles down the road on your left you will see a small parking area for the Croatan Forest Island Creek Walk. This is the trail head.
